Not only has Michelle contributed to so much success to the local communities of the Capital District in the arts scene, she is very kind, charitable and works extremely hard to promote local organizations she is engaged with.
We feel very privileged to have the opportunity to work with Michelle and recognize her for everything she does, and are excited to see her continued success with whatever endeavor she pursues!

 Michelle Hines Abram has over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry.  A graduate of the French Culinary Institute in NYC, Ms. Hines Abram studied under eminent chefs Alain Sailhac and Jacques Pepin and completed her stagiaire at La Côte Basque.  She was Executive Chef for Mood Food, which under her leadership garnered a spot on New York Magazine’s Top Ten list. After spending a few years in the kitchen, she was recruited to be the Director of Special Events for RDC & The Destination Group.  Ms. Hines Abram produced hundreds of events for NYC’s elite clientele. During this time she attended Kevin Zraly’s Wine School to further her of knowledge of wine and pairing.  She eventually went out on her own and started Innovative Events, a boutique luxury event planning and catering company in NYC and Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. She was a Trustee Member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and was recognized for her charitable work for the Jacksonville Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Foudation.  Wanting to transition to hotel management, Ms. Hines Abram returned to upstate New York as the Director of Banquets & Convention Services at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Albany, New York . She eventually became the Director of the hotel’s wine program as well.

 In 2009 Ms. Hines Abram was a Founding Member and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the “Albany Chefs’ Food & Wine Festival: Wine & Dine for the Arts”, who’s mission is to promote and enhance Albany by highlighting and marketing its’ chefs and innovative cuisine and to provide sustainable funding to the downtown arts community. The Festival in its’ inception year was not limited to the 3 day event though. In response to the Haitian disaster, Festival Founders rallied together to produce Chef’s for Haiti in just seven days. Ms. Hines Abram has made a commitment to using her multifaceted experience to help build a better community.  Her numerous charitable endeavors include serving as Executive Director for Dance Crazy, serving on the board of directors for the Stakeholders Foundation, working on yearly campaigns for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society including being a 2013 Woman of the Year Candidate, hosting LunaFest to benefit Sjogren’s Syndrome Foundation, founding the Meil Fleur Societe and organizing annual fundraisers & golf outing for Yono’s Scholarship Foundation.

 MHA Innovations was founded in 2010 to provide public relations, marketing, brand management and hospitality management resources to the hospitality industry. Ms. Hines Abram represents many of the chefs in the Capital Region and provides consulting services within the industry.  In addition to her role in MHA Innovations, in 2013 she became the Director of Sales & Marketing for Normanside Country Club and their restaurant One Six Five.

Based in Albany, New York, The Stakeholders is a not-for-profit organization that inspires and equips people to take positive action in their communities. Stakeholders, Inc. is a New York State Regional Volunteer Center for an eight-county region, as well as an affiliate of the National Points of Light Institute.
