Gavant Software worked with Wildwood School to develop Expression Arcade, an iPad app to help with socialization of students with autism spectrum disorders and other learning disabilities. The app is a set of games to help Wildwood students develop social skills and address feelings of happiness, anger and fear. The inspiration for these games came from traditional in-class exercises that used index cards. Social workers at Wildwood felt the traditional approach was becoming stale and that a computer game would bring a renewed level of excitement for the students. Seeing the app in action at Wildwood School confirmed that and was an experience that Gavant was extremely proud to be a part of.
